Will takes a more traditional approach than our top recommendations, but fills his book with plenty of data. The book itself is broken into 5 sections.

The first part of the book focuses on diet and nutrition for those looking to build muscle mass. While nothing breaks new ground, it is thoroughly researched and cited.

Part 2 consists of supplement reviews, and comments on the building blocks of those supplements. Will Brink is a believer in supplement use, though not always as directed by the supplement companies who can't be nearly as objective with their recommendations.

Part 3 consists of the actual strength training discussion and workout plans. Brink breaks these plans down for people of all skill and experience levels. Complementing Part 3 is part 4 with a discussion of cardio and HIIT.

Finally, the book wraps up with a section on the mental game of strength training.

While some of this information might seem like old hat to some, the book is well-researched and cited, and makes for a good reference for newcomers or traditional strength trainers.
